Jamun Neem Karela - Glucose Control Functional Juice
A thoughtfully crafted blend of three traditionally valued botanicals — Neem, Karela (Bitter Melon) and Jamun — combined with Amla, Ginger and Lemon Juice.
Sri Sri Udyog Neem Karela Jamun Juice is designed for those looking to include traditional Indian botanicals in their everyday wellness routine. The formulation combines plant ingredients that have been investigated in human research, particularly in relation to glucose metabolism and antioxidant activity.
The juice contains Jamun seed powder, Karela, Neem leaves, Amla and Ginger, complemented with lemon juice and other ingredients for a convenient ready-to-use formulation.
Why Neem • Karela • Jamun?
🌿 Jamun — Syzygium cumini
Jamun has been investigated in randomized controlled trials for its potential role in glucose metabolism.
A 2026 systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials included 9 trials involving Syzygium cumini. The Jamun subgroup showed a pooled reduction of 15.70 mg/dL in fasting blood glucose compared with control. However, substantial variation existed between studies, and the authors emphasized that the evidence remains heterogeneous. (PubMed)
Research highlight:
Fasting Blood Glucose ↓ 15.70 mg/dL
Pooled mean difference vs control
This evidence relates to specific Jamun preparations studied in clinical trials, not directly to this finished juice. (PubMed)
🥒 Karela — Momordica charantia
Bitter melon, or Karela, has been extensively investigated for its potential effects on glucose metabolism.
A 2025 GRADE-adherent meta-analysis of 25 randomized trials/sub-studies involving people with prediabetes or type 2 diabetes reported reductions in fasting blood glucose and HbA1c with Momordica charantia interventions. The pooled standardized effects were −0.46 for fasting blood glucose and −0.57 for HbA1c. (PubMed)
However, the clinical literature is not completely consistent. A separate 2024 systematic review found no significant effect on fasting glucose or HbA1c, illustrating the variability between preparations, doses and trials. (PubMed)
This is why we describe Karela as scientifically studied for glucose metabolism, rather than claiming that the juice treats or controls diabetes.
🌱 Neem — Azadirachta indica
Neem has also been investigated in human clinical research.
A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study involving 80 people with type 2 diabetes evaluated standardized aqueous Neem leaf/twig extract at different doses alongside metformin for 12 weeks. The researchers assessed fasting and post-meal glucose, HbA1c, insulin resistance, oxidative stress and inflammatory markers. (PubMed)
The study reported improvements in several metabolic and inflammatory parameters with the studied Neem preparation.

Safety Information
This product is not intended to replace prescribed medication or medical treatment.
Individuals with diabetes, prediabetes, or those taking blood-glucose-lowering medicines should consult their healthcare professional before incorporating this product into their routine, particularly because several ingredients in the formulation have been studied for effects on glucose metabolism.
Pregnant or lactating women and children should consult a healthcare professional before use.
Discontinue use and seek medical advice if an adverse reaction occurs.
The Science Behind the Formula
Human research has investigated all three principal botanicals
| Botanical | Human research area | Evidence highlight |
|---|---|---|
| Jamun | Glucose metabolism | S. cumini subgroup: FBG −15.70 mg/dL pooled difference |
| Karela | Glucose metabolism | Meta-analyses have reported effects on FBG/HbA1c, but results vary |
| Neem | Glycemic control, inflammation & oxidative stress | Randomized placebo-controlled clinical study |
The evidence comes from different preparations, doses and populations. It therefore supports the scientific interest in these botanicals but does not establish equivalent effects for this finished juice. (PubMed)
